3D Web with Three.js & GLSL Shaders #524
Comments
This would be great marco :) Lets see if we can get you up for our Dec event, as we don't have a Jan event - only start back up in Feb 👍 |
Alright, that's fine. I'm not sure if I will still be here in Feb, hopefully, I will. It all depends on job opportunities. Keep me updated 😄 |
Just waiting on having 1 more speaker for the Dec event and we can announce it - i'll keep you in the loop |
@iamkevinv Sounds good! Let me know where you will publish the announcement to share it on my profile |
Publishing the link on our socials, and the event is here on meetup https://www.meetup.com/brisjs/events/303114973/ |
Spread the word! |
See you tonight! |
Yeah ! |
Presenter Name: Marco Braccini
Talk title: Bringing the Web into 3D: A Journey with Three.js and GLSL Shaders
Talk length: 20 min
Talk description:
Discover how to bring immersive 3D experiences to the web with Three.js and GLSL Shaders. Using my interactive portfolio as a case study, we will explore the creation of a "tiny planet" inhabited by an animated robot that walks across a dynamically generated world.
We will dive into the technical tricks and optimizations behind this experience, including advanced performance hacks like GPGPU for real-time terrain tracking, where the robot adjusts its height over hills, mountains, and even underwater.
I will demonstrate the use of custom shaders for dynamic world generation and explain key benefits of GLSL. I will also show creative solutions to handle orbiting animations, focusing on high frame rates and seamless animation.
