How do I select the overlay process in OBS? #59
Comments
if you go to the style tab, you'll find the position section, one of the options is Custom. If you select that there's a toggle to unlock the windows so you're able to move it around. That should allow OBS to detect the window |
Just tried this, OBS only shows a blank black rectangle |
I'll have a look then |
I could get it working with the steps I said by changing the catpure method to windows 10. Could you try and let me know? If the overlay starts showing a black corner around it hit CTRL ALT F10 to toggle it off and on again |
You were right, this worked! I still end up clicking the overlay by mistake sometimes which shifts window focus from my game but this is a good solution! Thank you. Is it possible to somehow make the overlay non-clickable while its unlocked? |
During my tests when I moved the overlay to my second display and unlocked it so OBS could see it, after I setup OBS if I change the overlay to locked again, OBS would still be able to see it. I don't think there's a way of making it visible to obs and not clickable using what we have now |
I want the overlay to show up in OBS but the overlay is not a process that can be selected from what I can make out. How do I make it work?
