Laplace might also be a good name (laPLaCe hides PLC in it) but might be harder to use, unless we eventually just call the binary plc and the project Laplace. |

RuSTy while a nice name has more relation to Rust than it does to the IEC61131-3 Languages, or even just ST
We need a name that better reflects the goal of the project, not the way it is being implemented
A suggestion is to look into the history of PLCs and pay homage to the founders.
My proposal here is Odo for Odo Josef Struger
Odo is also a good fit as a (fictional) shapeshifter, much like a multi-language compiler.
