First off, "ui-extract.bat" cant work unless you extract the UIextractor_BIN.zip file because it contains the actual .exe that extracts the files. Why is it packed in a .zip when its clearly needed?
I downloaded the latest official OG Photon firmware 4.2.19 (not the fauxtron) and the Photon S 502 firmware, extracted the files from both .zips into the UIextractor-master folder and tried to extract the sprites with ui-extract.bat
When promted with "UI Filename" I tried entering both the filenames of the .bin file from the OG photon firmware (1-fpga29_P29_104.bin) and the filename of the UI file from the Photon S firmware (P_UI_2_6.bin). Of course I didnt enter the filenames at the same time, but in separate tests.
When the script asked me for the extract folder I entered "images"
After that I get the error message:
Invalid UI file!
Extracted 0 images from UI file.
The folder "images" gets created, but no images are inside. Instead there is a 0kb file called UItable.csv
Curiously, extracting the photonsters firmware works perfectly fine with this method. Whats the problem here? Are the firmware files from anycubic somehow different?
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
file extractor only works for the photon classic nor the S.
and that file u tried to extract from the classic is not the ui it is the
FPGA file. the original ui can be found in the photonsters firmware section
on the initial firmware.
alternatively you can just download the chitusystems ui from their site as
it is also compatible with the photon classic.
