Mouse input breaks if tutorial message appears while panning

While panning, if a message appears, clicking on the arrows in the message does nothing. The cursor is also stuck on the 4-arrow cursor used while panning.

I ran into this on tutorial task 7; I was panning (i.e. left mouse was held down) and then it hit 3 minutes, so the messages for task 8 appeared. I was then unable to click the arrows on the message. Fortunately pressing space or using the arrow keys worked normally, and after pressing space 5 times, things worked normally (it assumed I was still panning even though left mouse was released, but after left-clicking again things returned fully to normal).
