It takes a lot more effort than it should to modify the data transformation hierarchy manually.
In order to edit a value on the data transformation, you have to right click the cell you want to change, and then click "Edit Item", and only then can you change it.
Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like to be able to press "enter" on a cell to edit it inline where it changes to an editable state with the current value in the cell (if there is any) selected, to allow quickly replacing it.
Pasting into a selected (focused) cell outside of an edit state should replace the value in the cell with the contents of the clipboard, and that should apply when selecting multiple cells as well
I'd also like for the ability of tabbing through to wrap to the next line as well (currently it stops at the end of whatever line you are on, arrow keys also don't wrap).
Describe alternatives you've considered
You could instead use Ctrl + enter to edit a cell. Or you could also potentially just type without an "enter" key being pressed at all.

Thanks for suggesting this. While I agree that it would be nice if editing a hierarchy would be easier, improving the hierarchy editing function would require quite some work. The internal editor is mostly thought to be used for smaller fixes. For extensive editing we suggest to use another program, such as Excel.
We will hence not work on this in the near future. Will still leave this issue open in case someone else wants to take care of it.
