I haven't had a chance to look much into this, but thought I'd park an issue here to remind me (or possibly inspire someone else)...
It would be neat to be able to compare one's ballot order with that of the groups. In particular, a distance measure (eg mean squared error of positions) could be used to rank how closely you align with all of the groups. This might be useful as an indicator of who to put as 1 above the line (as a safety).

I'll try to find some time. It's up against new job, travel and possibly moving house though. Javascript works for me, more familiar than ruby at the moment
