OK thanks. I use HASS, and only have a "Greenwave GWPN1" or "Centralite 3200-Sgb" smart plugs. They both abort with the default settings. The latter (Centralite 3200-Sgb) seems to work with SLEEP_TIME=5 and MAX_NUDGES=1, but it's very slow, I will try again overnight.

I then tried to measure a Nest Audio (currently missing in the database), but I had to stop when the volume reached 70... Is it really necessary to go all the way to 100? It does get loud...

OK thanks. I use HASS, and only have a "Greenwave GWPN1" or "Centralite 3200-Sgb" smart plugs. They both abort with the default settings. The latter (Centralite 3200-Sgb) seems to work with SLEEP_TIME=5 and MAX_NUDGES=1, but it's very slow, I will try again overnight.

Some smart plugs are a pitty to force frequent updates. Especially with Zwave or Zigbee devices, as there standard setting is to not overload the network.
But it's a one time job to do the measurements, when you get good readings and you can leave it overnight, then I think it's worth the effort.

Haha, I feel you. I also had to put in some earplugs on some of my speakers and close the doors of that room ;-).
But to get readings for the full volume spectrum (which users may use) yes you'll have to.
Otherwise we cannot give an estimated power reading when user puts the volume at 90 for example.
It only takes a few minutes for these power levels.

OK, I've done it.... But taking the averages (rather than the last value?) might however not be representative. Is it maybe because my powerplug are slow in updating, or is this expected?

I see what you mean. It seems your power plug is lagging in updates a bit. as it seems to update only ones every 10 seconds (or something close to that), which was also causing the issues on your light measurements. For the light measurements there is an extra validation step which checks the update time of the power sensor, which is not the case for the speaker measurements.

Looking at the measurements I think we might have shot at manually adjusting the values to be sensible.

For example:
10: 2.3
20: 3.2
30: 3.2
40: 3.2
50: 3.6
60: 3.7
70: 4.2
80: 4.6
90: 5.2
100: 6.0

I suggest to measure the standby power another time manually.

And than adjust the model.json file to correct these values.
