Changed my light entity_id - Does this break Powercalc Sensors?

In an effort to standardize my entity_id list across all lights, I seem to have broken my powercalc sensors. All of my light powercalc sensors were generated by autodiscovery. I wrongly assumed I could change the source id before haphazardly changing names. Lesson learned there I suppose.

So I guess I have a few questions.

1. Is there any way to change the source entity_id for the energy and power sensors so I can preserve the history?
2. Or am I boned and have to delete and created new powercalc sensors?
3. Is it possible to convert a sensor set created through autodiscovery to one that's manually configured in configuration.yaml?

I did a search of bugs and discussions but didn't see anything about this. Which I found odd given what I assumed would be a relatively common scenario. Apologies in advance if I missed it. Thanks all.

Here is my debug info for the light in question. Essentially I would want to change "light.hue_color_lamp_1_2" to "light.upstairs_livingroom_corner_e".

Hi that's unfortunately. I agree it should be a case which powercalc should handle transparently.
Will have a look into that in the future. Do you know if the HA helpers handle renaming of source entity_id correctly?

You should hopefully be able to resolve as follows.

• Stop you HA instance
• Modify config/.storage/core.config_entries file, search the powercalc entries and change the entity_id values.
• Restart HA

Should already be fixed now with #1711.
This will not solve your case as the entities has already been renamed, but when you rename in the future the powercalc configurations should adopt to the change.
To fix your current sensors you have to follow the procedure above.
