HA Energy Dashboard Differences... #1814

Probably you made some mistake in your YAML, because you mention the options are not applied.
In energy dashboard you are looking at one day. 13 august. The other entity screen is showing the total since it is counting. |

I've recently reinstalled everything, long story, but hardware failure and backup restores... my fault, however it was a good exercise!
I've just reconfigured Powercalc, set it with a Global config yaml that looks like this, but which is 'called using an !include to a folder - and discovered I really don't understand what it's doing! Or if it is doing what I'm asking!!
How would I tell if the force_update_frequency has been applied?
Where is power sensor naming, named? I can find no reference to Powersensor, I do have _power.
It has also created an energy sensor... even though I instructed it not to?
I have recreated this file, deliberately incorrectly, and I know HA is reading it - because it errors when I set the location incorrectly.
Also, and this is the main reason for the question. If I look at the Energy Dashboard, I am monitoring an individual device. It's a Tuya Smart plug. The individual monitoring shows a usage of 1.5kWh. If I click on that usage it opens a card, which says 8.19kWh.
8.19kWh is much more realistic, given where the plug is - the 1.5kWh is just wrong.
Why is there a difference?
