What happened?

Several times now I have had my whole system grind to a complete halt as a result of performing a source update in grayjay. I am on Ubuntu 2024.04 LTS. When performing the update all cores and memory usage climb up to 100% resulting in a complete halt.

(After a hard restart of the system, the update somehow seem to be applied correctly 😅 )

I have tried to kill the grayjay process after starting a source update but the halt occurred none the less.

I have turned on verbose logging and when next update comes I will try to get the relevant log. Same with which process causes the supposed memory leak.

Could your share how much memory you have and how many CPU cores? I tried to reproduce it but with no avail.
