It's not clear to me what the fields on this screen actually mean, in terms of how many requests may be made at most per run of Suggestarr. So I'm not sure if the descriptions under each of the fields on this Additional Configuration screen need some clarification, or maybe there needs to be a description of the overall process of the searching/suggesting in the documentation. Are the Max Similar Shows/Movie fields per user that I specify in Plex, or overall like a total number of movies/shows for each movie seen? Still trying to wrap my mind around this. If we can specify the max # of movies/shows to grab per movie/show seen... then is the Max Content Check the limit of how many movies/shows to include in the search for similar items in the window of recently viewed items per user?
I set things up and I thought on my first run there would be at most 7 requests done per week, and there were about 76 requests which was understandably shocking. Fortunately, I setup the new local user in Overseerr without the permission to auto-approve, and I was able to delete most of the requests.
If I set things up conservatively in these settings (if I know how to do that), and set Max Similar Movies/Shows to 1, and Max Content Checks to 1, does this mean Suggestarr will find me a similar show/movie for only the last show/movie I watched? Or a similar show/movie for the last show/movie watched for each user I selected in Plex?
In Suggestarr I was hoping for some measure of broad relevancy in future media suggestions, like based on the last week's worth of watching, here is a new item that is a local maximum in similarity to some/most of what you watch. But if I understand these settings correctly, the N suggestions made for a show/movie are based item-wise on the last N shows/movies watched. Is that right?
Thanks for the app! Maybe if I can get a handle on the settings, I can keep this running in my stack.
