It is possible to target several troops with the area of effect of Lich shot without targeting a troop in the center of the area of effect.
It is automatic, there is no need to press any key on the keyboard to allow it.

When a Lich troop has the hand, the player moves the mouse cursor over the hexes of the battlefield.

If during this movement of the mouse cursor one or more troops are located in the area of effect of the spell (without a targeted troop in the center of the area of effect) the cursor turns into a shooting cursor and allows shooting.
The area of effect of the shot is clearly displayed (like the seven hexes of the Fireball spell for example).
To make this possible without disturbing the standard operation (the Lich troop must be able to move instead of shooting), the hexagon is divided into several parts.
The areas of the hexagon can be different, the screen is for explanation only.

When the empty hexagon is targeted, for example, the outer area of the hexagon allows the troop to move (move cursor, if the move distance allows it) and the central area triggers the shot (shoot cursor) without having to target a troop.
