Do you mean a localization of the app or the episode names?
|
@theocrite Android already has this mechanism built in to it. Depending on the system language, it will load res/values-/strings.xml. In the past a couple of people have even sent in the translated strings.xml file for me, but I've been rubbish at merging them. (Sorry!!) There is more work I could do to make the strings.xml easier to translate: https://developer.android.com/distribute/tools/localization-checklist.html. Mainly commenting the strings. |
Sorry for the late answer. @YtvwlD I meant the app. The episodes names/content is a totally different issues. I think it's alredy adressed in the following pull request: #37 @jamienicol Oh good to know. I don't see any tranlsation in the pull requests. Did I miss something? Would you be interrested in a French tranlsation? |
Hello,
It would be great to allow the localisation of "episodes".
As far as I understand, the strings are already all stored in app/src/main/res/values/strings.xml. All we would need is a way to load another file.
For instance app/src/main/res/values/strings.$l10n.xml, where $l10n is the system language, with a fallback in Enligsh if the system language is not yet supported.
It would then be possible to switch manually the language from the global "preferences" menu.
[Thanks for the software. It's really nice to use.]
