cromite's custom filters command:

  1. example.com
  2. www.example.com
  3. https://example.com/
  4. ||example.com^
  5. ||example.com/*
  6. example.com^$loadurl
  7. example.com^$newtab

@uazo or anyone Can you please tell..which ones (which numbers) are proper or working commands?
because i don't see it's really working or properly blocked. Thank you so much

depends on what you want to do: what do you expect to happen?

just a simple blocking a webpage [document] or blocking url [loadurl] seems doesn't really works.. yeah i'm quiet familiar with "writing filters" which is IDM also has manual filters capabilities. and i'm using it as 2nd browser.

issues that i have on my side, simply ex;

  1. example.com or www.example.com -> does not block the domain (most of them)
  2. https://example.com/xxx.yy -> also doesn't block the url
  3. ||example.com^ -> doesn't work at all

i also have some questions.. does cromite's cust. filter support for wildcard rules like <*> or any element of rules such as <$script> <$document> <$image> or <$loadurl> <$newtab> <$thirdparty> etc etc..

one thing i've noticed the exception rules also doesn't work: @@||example.com/xxx.yyy
so, we need to use the "Allowlist" which is excludes the entire url or domain and subdomain (basically it deactivated ad blocker for specific domain)

2nd thing, tried to block "stripchat.com" with basic rules.. and none filters are working as expected, e.g: stripchat.com, www.stripchat.com, https://stripchat.com, ||stripchat.com^ etc etc..

i know i could just use the *custom ad filter url" for adult filters etc but it's also conflicted with others and not a better solution.
just hoping.. is there any chance that you could improve or modify the cromite's system ad blocker even better? like brave, soul browser, etc. THANKS A BUNCH

I would need confirmation about whether inserting your rules into a list works.
the doubt is that custom filter commands are not taken into account.

well, if that's the case.. then custom filter commands shouldn't be an option.
i was thinking it working sometimes, even it was not gets fully blocked. *ss attached
