edge case when tag files are uploaded without the proper tag formatting

when a user attempts to add an arbitrary tag file that might have invalid formatting or had removed the tokens needed for the tool to recognize the valid tags; this causes an error atm.

the solution is to detect the types of tokens that are removed/replaced with whitespace or \ and then add those needed tokens back into the tag string before the GUI performs the valid tag check and throws the error.
