This is an attempt to synchronise the functionality of the Windows and Linux versions of the clients.

It was possible to use common logic, in particular configuration logic.

I think the linux and windows tables can be merged together in the readme

I was thinking the same thing. But I don't know how to combine the comments for each function, because they are different for Linux and Windows (e.g. touch emulation).
