Acquisition

Casey Reas edited this page Mar 18, 2016 · 13 revisions

When a Work is acquired, the Collection receives the Documentation and a computer with the Work installed according to the Installation document.

The Collection is responsible for safely storing the Documentation, including the data on the optical disks and SD cards. The Collection is responsible for maintaining the computer and for acquiring and maintaining the display hardware, a screen or projector depending on the Work. (The Studio maintains guidelines for compatible display hardware.)

At some point after the acquisition, there will be technical issues with the computer or display hardware. Please remember, the computer and display hardware are not The Work the Collection has acquired. The Conservation document covers what to do when technical issues emerge.
