To convert the code from Python 2 to JavaScript, I will use the following steps:

Read the content of the pre-push file.
Use a JavaScript syntax conversion tool, like Babel, to automatically convert the Python 2 code to JavaScript.
Write the converted code to the hook.js file.

For the migration, I will follow these steps:

Read the content of the pre-push file.
Create a new file named hook.js.
Copy the content of the pre-push file into the hook.js file.
